Az egyik túlélője ennek a pokolnak Dr. Olofsson Placid bencés szerzetes. Placid atya 1916. december 23-án született. 1939-ben pappá szentelik, doktorál. Tanít a Bencéseknél. 1946-ban letartóztatják, 10 év a Gulágon. Azon kevesek közé tartozik, aki hazatért.
Hála Istennek megérte a 100 évet.
