One hundred instruments played by a single person: what is this all about? The organ is one of the most multifaceted instruments in existence. Now, in the Gallery Concerts series, it will be placed in a new light, both literally and figuratively. After the canopy above our heads descends, the audience in the gallery will enjoy an unparalleled acoustic experience as they listen to pieces from the organ repertoire that could almost be considered smash hits.

Jókai kevésbé ismert Komáromban játszódó regénye két nagy közösség, a katolikus és a református gyülekezet belső háborúját örökíti meg. A földrengés rövid időre egymáshoz közelíti a vetélkedő felekezeteket: a katolikus Malárdy Ferenc alispán engedélyt ad rögtönzött protestáns fatemplom építésére, de a katasztrófa elmúltával azonnal le akarja bontatni a templomot, sőt saját maga ragad fejszét, s vágja bele a templomba. Romboló gesztusa megpecsételi a közösség sorsát, Guthai Táde református lelkész megátkozza Malárdyt, de azt ő sem tudhatja, hogy az átok épp a saját elveszett fia közreműködésével teljesedik be. Malárdy alispánná választásának évfordulóján, egy városi ünnepségen jelenik meg először az a jóképű fiatalember, aki Kadarkuthy Viktor néven mutatkozik be, és megváltoztatja a Malárdy família sorsát. A fiatalember gyorsan belopja magát a családtagok szívébe, főképp a család szemefényéhez, Hermiához fűzik érzékeny szálak. Malárdy nem akar a lánya boldogságának útjába állni, ezért beleegyezik Kadarkuthy és Hermina házasságába. Az ifjú férj azonban álnevet visel, s az ellenséges protestáns család leszármazottja. Apja, Guthai Thádé, református lelkész az esküvőn leleplezi a fiát, és magával viszi. Romantikus kalandok, intrikák sorozata követi egymást Jókai történetében, a történet végére azonban kioldódnak a konfliktusok, azt is mondhatnánk, hogy szomorú happyend.
