For centuries, the capital city just meant Buda, as they established Budapest only in the 19th century, when three cities, Buda, Pest, and Old Buda formed the city that we know today. The walk is setting this breathtaking building against the background of wider historical, political and cultural events in the life of the Hungarian nation.
